Dearborn District Leaders

As the Founder and President of the Amity Club at Dearborn High, Ryan Elhasan has transformed it from a mere idea into a powerhouse of community change in Dearborn and beyond. Through his visionary leadership, the club has raised over $20,000 for Middle Eastern aid and distributed essential resources to low-income families both locally and internationally. Recognizing the significance of collaboration, Ryan Elhasan has  built ties with the Dearborn Public School district, leading to remarkable outreach efforts, especially for newly immigrated students. His ability to think beyond borders led to the club's expansion across the state, with an overarching district board that streamlines the club's diverse initiatives. Notably, Ryan Elhasan has introduced innovative projects like the Amity Scholarship and crafted events for the special needs community. Outside the Amity Club, his roles in various leadership capacities, from being a CFO of non-profits like Creative Needs to co-founding DEI initiatives, as well as founding Lebanese Student Association, showcase an unwavering commitment to fostering unity, inclusivity, and positive change in every endeavor.

As President of the Amity Club at Edsel Ford High School Jad's commitment extends mainly to international crises; they've collaborated with local nonprofits to raise significant funds for Morocco's earthquake victims, as well as the explosion in the port of Beirut using his position in the school. While solidifying his work internationally, Jad has done local work at equal impact. He has aided in packing and distributing over 700+ Backpacks with school supplies across the district. Moreover, Jad has connected with several financial conglomerates across Michigan in order to make the Amity Scholarship Dream come true.  As a board member of the Social Justice Club, Jad Berry has consistently championed causes that drive meaningful change. Their compassionate nature is further exemplified through their role in 'Best Buddies', where they dedicatedly assist students with special needs, fostering inclusivity and understanding within the school community. As Student Council President, they have effectively unified the student body, demonstrating leadership, empathy, and a ceaseless dedication to service at every turn. Furthermore, Jad has took on several leadership positions in his school and district by founding DEI initiatives, and partaking in both the Principal Student Advisory Committee and the Superintendent Student Advisory Council in order to empower the school district as a whole. 

As the esteemed President of both Amity Club and the National Honor Society at Henry Ford Early College, Ali Berry has consistently showcased leadership and a profound commitment to community welfare. Their invaluable assistance in food drives with local nonprofit health clinics has had a transformative impact on Dearborn's vulnerable communities. Through strategic collaboration with Henry Ford's food distribution efforts, they've bolstered community outreach. Moreover, Ali's dedication to global issues shines through, having successfully fundraised $1,000 for victims of the Middle East earthquake, demonstrating their unwavering passion for making a difference both locally and internationally.

As the Crestwood Amity Club president,Hala Alouie has demonstrated a deep commitment to community service and leadership through their diverse engagements. Her passion for cultural understanding and unity is evident through their active participation in the Muslim Student Association and the Arab Student Association. Furthermore, as a member of the Student Council and an executive board member of NHS, Hala has consistently showcased exemplary leadership and dedication to academic excellence and community betterment.
